Warranty Policy

This policy outlines the terms and conditions of the warranty offered on products sold on the Rugged Racks website.

The Warranty

  • Coverage Period: A 2-year limited warranty is provided, starting from the
    date of delivery.
  • Scope of Coverage:
    • Covers manufacturer defects and craftsmanship issues under normal use.
    • Powder coating finish is only covered for defects visible upon arrival. Damage occurring after delivery is not covered due to the volatile conditions our products are exposed to during use.
  • Exclusions: The warranty does not cover:
    • Normal wear and tear from intended use.
    • Damages caused by misuse, overloading, or improper mounting.
    • Modifications or alterations made after purchase.
    • Damages resulting from external causes, including but not limited to:
      • Natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes, floods, hurricanes).
      • Acts of God or other unforeseen events.
      • Accidents, fire, or collisions.
      • Exposure to corrosive or abrasive substances.
    • Any product used in a manner not recommended by CHANNELLOCK® Auto.

Limitations of Liability

  • Rugged Racks' responsibility is strictly limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product at its sole discretion.
  • Rugged Racks shall not be liable for:
    • Labor, transportation, or other costs incurred in the removal, installation, or return of the product.
    • Indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, or vehicle damage.
    • Third-party damages caused by the use or failure of products offered on Rugged Racks website.
  • Rugged Racks does not warrant and disclaims all liability for products that:
    • Have been modified, altered, or repaired by unauthorized personnel.
    • Have been subjected to adverse conditions such as neglect, misuse, or improper installation.
    • Were used in applications other than those expressly recommended by Rugged Racks.

Filing a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim:

  1. Visit our contact page.
  2. Provide the following information:
    • Your Order Number.
    • A detailed description of the issue, including photographs if applicable.
    • Contact information for follow-up.
  3. Unauthorized returns without prior approval will not be accepted and may be returned to the customer at their expense.

Products, Time Periods, and Claims

Products sold by Rugged Racks are designed and manufactured to high standards. However, we cannot control how products are used. As such:

  • The warranty is limited to materials and workmanship.
  • Powder coating finish is only covered for damages visible upon arrival. Post-delivery damages are not covered.
  • Modifications or misuse voids all warranty claims.

General Disclaimer

This warranty is the sole and exclusive warranty applicable to products sold by Rugged Racks. It is in lieu of all other warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. The remedies outlined in this policy are the exclusive remedies available to the purchaser.
